Israel is so obviously acting on behalf of the U.S. and its allies to ensure that there is no resistance to neoliberal imperialism in the region. You would think that Israeli citizens would object to being put at risk like this, but it seems a lot of them are on board with it. Just shows what can be achieved when you hype up a population.
