In the latest episode of the The Electronic Intifada Podcast, Nora and myself talk to Palestinian scholar Abdaljawad Omar and journalist Jon Elmer about Palestinian military resistance to Israeli occupation in the Jenin refugee camp.
The media spotlight was briefly cast on the camp between the 3rd and the 5th of July when Israel carried out a major ground and aerial invasion — its biggest since the second intifada (during which Jon was on the group reporting from Jenin camp).
A lot of media coverage was about the humanitarian situation — 12 Palestinians were killed by Israel, including four children and more than 140 Palestinians were injured.
But what about the Palestinian freedom fighters? How did they perform in their defensive operations against the Israeli occupation forces?
This episode is a fascinating discussion about the Jenin Brigade and an under-reported aspect of the Palestinian freedom struggle: its armed resistance forces and their guerrilla tactics.
Watch the whole thing in the video above or listen to the audio on either your favourite platform or on the EI website (a full transcript will follow in due course).
Excellent discussion - thank you all for this. Knowledge, indeed, is power, the power to hope.

Between this and your support for Hezbollah, Hamas, ISIS, Boko Haram, the Taliban, islamic jihad, Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade, Abu Sayyaf, Al-Shabaab and Iran, you really don't like gay people, do you? Or women who won't do as they're told.
