Long live jury trials!

Wow Asa❤️ Absolutely wonderful news - and thank you for your courage🌹🍉🍉🍉

Thanks Asa. Some kind of justice has been done here, despite the full force of the Israel lobby, the British state and its media poodles being turned against the defendants. They are heroes one and all. The jury’s verdict reflects the huge gulf between a corrupt, morally depraved establishment and the vast majority of British people who know a genocide when they see one and will not be cowed or bamboozled into accepting it.

"It is exactly for those reasons that the UK government is seeking to abolish, or seriously erode, the right to trial by jury in the UK. In large part, these so-called 'reforms' seem to be targeted precisely at supporting Israel and preventing juries from acquitting according to their conscience."

"... seem to be targeted..."? No, there's no question about it, just as the Israelis/Zionists are physical, tangible examples of being an invasive species in Palestinian, so too are they an infestation of our rights and legal systems. It is all part of their supremacist, aggrandizing self-entitlement that all is to be subsumed to their depraved, odious conception of a project in a land to which they hold no legitimate claim. Fornicate them long, fornicate them hard, fornicate them deep. Then repeat.

The judge denied argumemts to rule out terrorism from the start, he ruled out our legal defences before the jury even had a chance to hear why they were denied, he denied bail applications, he called the crowbars destroying drones "weapons" and the killer drones "products".

What was undeniable was the jury found Palestine Action innocent and Elbit & Britain were found to be guilty!!

This judge should be tried at the ICC for complicity in genocide.

I agree. As should many. But firstly, we need Israel to get convicted of that crime.

Despite Sharmer! A victory for humanity.

Why is this not front page news instead of the lies they continue to print?

One more time, Jurys (the people) and not Judges (biased by corruption or political orders) are establishing REAL justice and LEGAL PRECEDENTS, in this case, to save constitutional rights that are being demolished in the UK, a dark shining light tower of fascism and globalist-zio-nazi maneuvers for dominance.

Even if a judge isn't biased, they follow the letter of the law - so politicians can control their decisions via making legislation. Juries, however, are free to follow their own consciences.

Carlé Costa's avatar

Well, the "letter of the law" is a more dubious field as generally the people think about: interpretation of the laws text is a very delicate and tricky issue, and only absolut HONESTY would be the appropiate approach to it ... something more rare than rare earths.

When a law is clearly unconstitutional, no Judge must rule according to it, but question the written law, and defy it (one of the acrobatics of tribunals).

The presence and wieght of a "neutral" Jury is a decisive matter to balance the Justice's Balance, as in this case was shown.

This is why Starmer wants to chip away at our justice system

I don’t know why he and his ilk don’t just move to Israel and spare the British public….

Bless you, Asa & all of Electronic Intifada. These young (& old folks) are indeed our living conscience.

May Peoples' Tribunals spring up as Yellow Rose Cafes all over this world to share these truths & cultivate the honor of human decency.

Their courageous direct action against the cruelty of the depraved powerful, acting in complicity for the forces of evil,is teaching us what wisdom in service of love can do.

Thank you.

This is great news. And kudos to those jurors, for having the wisdom to see the injustice of not taking into account the fact that the property the activists destroyed, were weapons that were arming a nation committing genocide; that they saw the elephant in the room that the government, media, and even the judge was asking them not to see.

Congratulations the jury did the right thing viva Palestina

It’s so refreshing to receive a bit of positive news Asa. Thanks.

Naturally, the trial by jury attack is chilling, but nothing new for the upper crust of British power. Lest any one forget, they deemed it fine to enact internment in Northern Ireland some 50 odd years ago - where random folk could be picked up off the streets and held indefinitely in prison without trial. Beard, vaguely Irish sounding surname? Her Majesty’s leisure for you my man!
