This is infuriating but nothing new. Israel’s influence reaches far and wide and clearly the ‘hurt feelings’ of British Jews are more important than the crime against humanity of settler-colonialism and genocide. Bristol is the home of the Palestine Museum & Cultural Centre and I am sure they will be more than happy to host an event for you. We may lose occasional battles here and there, but Israel will lose in the end. Greetings from an anti-Zionist former Israeli citizen. (palmuseumbristol.org)

Who needs government censorship when 'labour' organisations are so willing to do it themselves? Ken Loach's comment is particularly appropriate: Unite leadership's actions are obvious proof that anti-semitism has indeed been weaponised. One positive from this is that such obvious censorship usually has the effect of increasing interest in the topic; I hope this is true for sales of your book.

What a screw job by a bunch of fascists! Can’t even convey facts without them getting all riled up and going for suppression and censorship! Time to start a competing union with better values and true dedication to their members. These people have sold their soles to ziofascists!

This is really the pits.

Has she read the book? Or is she just responding to the CAA's nonsense?

If she hasn't, she has no right to have any opinion and ban its discussion.

If she has, she should let people know exactly what it is that people should not be allowed to read or have discussed. What isn't true? She needs to be publicly challenged, and you deserve to hear the answers.

Cancellers rarely read the books or view the videos they want to expunge. Whether they are top officials or just regular people.

Alfreda Benge's avatar

They should be challenged.

Also the CAA seem to approve of lawfare,. Were there any threats accompanying their 'advice'.... like Bristol University caved in to?

Yes, we should always stand up to bullies. At the same time we need to find allies and spaces that accept freedom of association and freedom of speech.

Hi ASA. Rather like Vietnam in the 1960’s / 70’s, Israeli settler colonialism is now a defining issue when it comes to having a personal values system. Israel is only the latest in a very long line of settler colonialist criminal enterprises where the narrative is warped by a traduced media. I now define those around me by whether they passively or actively support Israel’s crimes. As an Irish Republican, I can spot these liars from a mile away. Keep up the good work, stay strong and remember: if you are not pissing Zionists off, you are not supporting the people of Palestine 👍

How do you fight a book about fake anitsemitism? With fake antisemitism charges, of course! These fools need to learn a new song.

Why learn a new song, when the old one gets the desired results?

I've recently started following the progress of Sharon Graham and Unite's sucking up to Starmer via YouTuber KernowDamo. He's a member of Unite and a former Labour member who switched to the Green Party. You might like to take a look.

What a disgrace Sharon@unite is! She must resign and step down! Let someone decent take over!

Sorry about the cancellation Asa.

It is truly a world of authoritarians versus non authoritarians with most in power being authoritarian or too scared to stand up to the authoritarians. Hope the rest of the tour has no more cancelled events.

Bye, bye Unite… have they learned nothing from the Corbyn capitulation. Once you concede on this issue, you will be targeted at every opportunity until you are completely impotent. Stupid, cowardly and unprincipled people. I’ll wager non of these idiots have actually read the book or seen the film.

Thank you!

Yes: merely being published felt like a major victory for us and a major defeat for them.

All this extra attention is gravy!
