The Black and Tans are still remembered with revulsion in Ireland.

A few years ago the government tried to include them in its centenary celebrations, luckily an outpouring of public indignation immediately put stop to it.

Not sure the point this article is trying to make.

What is the article trying to highlight?

If it is saying that the German Nazis had a strong hand in Zionism and favored Zionist Jews over Palestinians, that is a rather weak thing to claim.

while carrying out the Holocaust, Nazis strengthened their ties with Arab groups and leaders in British Mandate, such as Amin al-Husseini. The Haavara Agreement was discontinued after Germany invaded Poland. Just like the Madagascar plan, the Haavara plan was abandoned, and Nazis fully settled on favoring extermination of Jews over deportation.
